Information We Collect

We collect two kinds of information:

• Account information: your name and email address, used to identify your account.
• Health information you log in the app: this may include your recorded symptoms, daily check-ins (such as hydration, exercise, leg elevation, and compression wear), compression garment usage, medications, treatment records, clinical questionnaire responses (including the Venous Clinical Severity Score, or VCSS, as well as medical necessity and recovery questionnaires), and risk assessments.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Let you record and track your venous health over time.
• Summarize your progress and questionnaire results so you can share them with your vascular care team.
• Provide general educational context about your scores and assessments.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the app’s features.

Storage and Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information associated with your account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sharing Your Information

Your health data may be shared with your own vascular care provider or clinic so they can review your progress and support your treatment. We do not sell your data to third parties, and we do not use your information for advertising.

Service Providers

VeinTrack is built and hosted on Base44, a third-party application platform. Your account information and the health information you log are stored and processed on Base44’s infrastructure so that the app can function. We require any third party that handles your information on our behalf to provide the same or equal protection of that information as described in this policy, and to use it only to operate the app. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own purposes.

Data Retention

We keep the information described above for as long as your account is active, so that your history remains available to you and to your care team. When you delete your account, your account information and all of the health data you logged are permanently deleted. We do not keep a copy, and the deletion cannot be undone.

Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app’s Settings screen. Your account and everything you logged are deleted, and the action cannot be undone.

Intended Audience

The app is intended for patients of the practice who are 12 years of age or older. It is not intended for use by children under 12.
